The Nordic Investment Bank’s Helsinki office was renovated to create modern, sustainable, and employee-focused workspaces. Naava green walls were integrated throughout the building, including open offices, break areas, and the lobby, enhancing indoor air quality, providing natural elements, and supporting well-being, comfort, and privacy while reflecting the bank’s commitment to sustainability.

NIB's property in Kaisaniemi, Helsinki, was in need of renovation. In addition to a major civil engineering overhaul, the company wanted to adapt their premises to actual working practices. The result was modern multi-purpose facilities which emphasize the bank's values with sustainable solutions and staff well-being. The entire renovation was carried out in accordance with the environmentally certified BREEAM Excellent renovation method.
Naava green walls were already considered at the design stage to support NIB's core idea of sustainable and comfortable modern premises. Green walls proved to be very popular when staff were involved in the design. Naava's can now be found on all office floors. NIB created e.g. green reading and discussion corners and shared workspaces.
Space and solution
Along a major renovation of the premises, NIB wanted to modernize the space to better indicate their values with sustainable solutions and well-being of the employees. Naava One Slim models were embedded in the structure of the back wall of the lobby as well as the walls of the open office. Double-sided models were used in open offices as space dividers to bring privacy, and Naava One -models to create comfort in break areas.
